I have worked as a Special Education Advocate for over 14 years. I am the parent of 3 children with special needs and serve as the president for the ADDA-SR “Heart of Texas” Chapter in Killeen. I have worked with hard to reach youth at the Killeen ISD Alternative Placement Program and with imprisoned youth through the Texas Youth Commission. I also provide training for over 700 military families through a collaborative agreement with the Exceptional Family Member Program at Fort Hood. I am currently pursuing a degree in education, a stepping stone to my lifelong dream of earning a masters degree as a behavioral specialist.
