How Partners Resource Network Helps
Partners Resource Network (PRN) is a private, non-profit corporation established in 1986. The programs and services of PRN are based on the concept of parents helping parents. Our mission is to empower parents of children and youth with disabilities in their roles as parents, decision makers, and advocates for their children and to promote partnerships among parents and professionals.
How PRN Can Help
We help parents to:
- Understand their child's disability;
- Understand their rights and responsibilities under IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act);
- Obtain and evaluate resources and services;
- Participate as team members with professionals in planning services for their children.
We offer:
- Individual assistance over the phone and in-person to families who have questions about their child's needs.
- Workshops for parents and professionals take place on an ongoing basis throughout Texas.
- Resources such as printed publications and online materials are available on a variety of relevant topics.
